Take a Culinary Journey at Tasty Venues
because there's more to food than eating

Eating Italy

September is still months away, but the Tasty Suitcase culinary tour of the Amalfi Coast is already a hot topic of conversation and excitement. With visits to Pompeii, Herculaneum, the Vatican, the Royal Palace at Caserta, and the island of Capri just a few among the destinations, days will be fun and interesting as well as delicious because every day includes the exceptional cuisine Italy is noted for.  Experience cooking and eating everywhere from the farm to the five-star resort. Be transported in time and place and create memories that will enrich you for the rest of your life.

Eat and Learn: Cooking Parties!
What is a cooking party?
Cooking parties are cooking classes with more - more information, more exploration, more fun!
Going beyond merely how to, we talk about the why, the significance, the culture, art, travel, relevant food issues of the day, famous chefs and cooks, influential cuisines, and any other kind of food talk you wish to engage in.

Cookbook Readers Club on 1st Thursdays

Next meeting - June 7 at 7 p.m.

Please join us the first Thursday of each month if you too like to read cookbooks! Meet with new and old friends for an evening of sharing, enjoying, discovery, and delight.

The June meeting: Paris My Sweet: A Year in the City of Light
(and Dark Chocolate)
by Amy Thomas.

While this is not a cookbook, the topic is food from the culture recognized worldwide as establishing the standard for fine cookery. (We have a limited number of copies available for purchase.)

During our first meeting we agreed to rotate responsibility for selecting the book to be read and discussed, so at this second meeting we will create our list. If you'd like to share a favorite or explore a cookbook you've always wanted an excuse to read, bring the title and author information to the meeting.

Appetizers and light fare available for purchase; wine and beer also available.
